Sheila Fox has been singing ever since she can remember.  She recalls with much joy (and a bit of a twinkle in her eye) many fond memories of holidays past when relatives from all over the country would gather round the piano, singing their favorite old-time gospel classics in precious four part harmony.  Her performance career however actually began at the age of eight, singing solos and duets along with her older sister Cindy, and trios with Mom and Cindy.  Friends and neighbors were sometimes prone to join in on the family fun as well.

Her passion for music became evident a bit earlier however, at the humble age of six,  and piano lessons quickly ensued.  Sheila eagerly awaited the opportunity to play the violin in the school band, and by the fifth grade had already graduated to the flute, just as big sister Cindy had done two years previous.  Vocal competitions were soon to follow both in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and by the eight grade she had achieved the coveted first chair flute in the school band.  As if this weren't enough, she began mastering the tuba (along with best friend Rene) under the hopeful gaze of the band leader, who quickly dubbed the inseparable duo as the most capable learners in the band.

Sports, boys, and other high school distractions prompted our future singer-songwriter to give up (albeit temporarily) most of the music scene, save for the occasional church solo.  Ninth grade biology class would soon find our Sheila completely engrossed in her newfound passion -- songwriting, as Mr. Ott's lectures on mitosis and photosynthesis took a back seat to a notebook and a pen.  After school time was spent conquering her new toy, a fully loaded Slingerland drum kit.  That's right, Sheila Fox was going to be a rock and roll drummer!  But songwriting became her passion as she was driven to write more and more from the heart, drawing from thoughts and life experiences that were both deeply personal and real.

Sheila began her formal vocal training as a young adult and quickly assumed the roles of children's music director, soloist, and praise team and worship leader in the local church.  She enjoyed much success building a solo ministry throughout the tri-state area, developing and perfecting her songwriting and vocal skills and sharing her heart.  But in 1994 a broken foot and a desire to express herself through an ever-increasing library of original songs became the catalyst for a new direction -- recording.  This proved to be life changing as her producer suggested that she begin working with a pop/rock vocal coach, and change her vocal style to reflect the more intimate and contemporary approach which is so evident in her original music.  To this day, Sheila credits this man for helping to define her unique vocal style...breathy, sultry, and heartfelt.
She had found her voice!

Sheila moved to Florida in 1999...
Did somebody say "Innocent Red"?
